Behind the Camera

Aloha! I'm a hobbyist photographer and currently residing on the Hamakua Coast, on the Big Island of Hawai’i.
I capture moments that cannot be brought back, and collect them to reminisce. Between 2013 and 2015, I began using a camera to record everyday things, because I liked the experience of holding a camera, actuating the shutter, and being rewarded with an image of something which I could never see the exact same of again. To go back in time is the main motivation for my photography.
My Gear
My three most-used cameras are: an iPhone SE, with its’ 28mm f1.4 back lens; a Nikon 1 J1, with a 25mm f1.4 “swirly bokeh” lens; and, a vintage Canon 350D, with an adapted film-era Nikkor 28mm f3.5 lens.
